Fax mail module
The Telephony Office-LinX™ Fax-Mail module makes it easy to receive, store and send fax messages from your native email client (Microsoft® Outlook/Exchange, etc.) The Fax-Mail module allows a company to create a progressive database of faxes and group them in appropriate files/folders within a network, reducing paper and telephone use and significantly improving communications.
Mobile Users
Fax-Mail allows mobile users (with SMTP services) to view and manage their fax messages from their Internet email access. Similarly voice mail users can access their fax messages through a remote access server connected to their Office-LinX voice mail server.
Faxes can be retrieved from voice mail, natively from email and stored in both TIFF and/or PDF formats. Every voice mail user on the Telephony Office-LinX platform has access to faxes from their voice mail, they can login to there voice mail and:
- View files directly from their PC
- Send faxes to a fax machine to pick up from a remote location
- Send faxes to a printer on a network to view
By delivering faxes natively in email users can now store and forward the digital format with no wasted paper or expenses related to traditional fax machines. Unique technology, the Esna UC platform provides support for softfax technology which enables access to process faxes over the existing voice channel and has no requirement for dedicated fax hardware. In pure IP environments the Telephony Office-LinX is managing faxes over t.30 protocol over SIP, eliminating any need for expensive t.38 hardware to process faxes.
Fax Features
- Automatically program receive fax options from a voice menu
- Telephony Office-LinX will automatilly detect an incoming fax and route the fax to a generic mailbox
- Faxes can be directed to the systems fax board and left in a generic mailbox, which can be accessed over the network or telephone
Notification
- The system will automatically notify a designated number or pager
- A message waiting light will flash on the users telephone
- Forward fax messages through email
- Faxes can be directed to a default fax number
- Users can designate any fax number to have their faxes directed to instead of the default
