Business interruptions, lasting days or even hours can damage your reputation and cause your customers to switch to your competitors. Companies with proven business continuity plans use the best technology to prepare for the worst.

ATT Business Report (Business Continuity Survey) - This report includes 1,286 telephone interviews, conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, with business people responsible for business continuity planning, particularly when it comes to tele-communications, web sites and data networking.

Despite the vital importance of preparing for unforeseen disasters, business continuity planning is not a high priority at four out of ten companies surveyed. Many companies are placing their confidence in the systems they already have in place, or, in effect, are crossing their fingers that they won't be the victims of disasters that cripple their ability to do business. Even among companies with business continuity plans, one out of four hasn't updated its plan in the past 12 months, and four out of ten haven't tested their plans in the past year or ever. This survey makes it clear that many American businesses are not taking the steps they need to take in order to safeguard their ability to continue operations in the event of a manmade or natural disaster.
