MOHAMMAD NEZARATI, CEO/CTO
Mohammad founded Esnatech in 1989 to deliver voice-applications to
enterprise customers. In this role, Mohammad oversees Esnatech's strategic direction, focusing on unified communications and cloud-based enterprises. Under
his leadership Esnatech addresses multiple customer segments in over 30 countries globally. He was the primary architect and developer of the company’s
original platform and market leading solution Office-LinX™. Mohammad was honoured with the Canadian CTI Pioneer award for his experience in the messaging
and communications industry, spanning over 20 years. Under his leadership, Esnatech has experienced tremendous growth in market share and has established
broad distribution channels including major phone and data networking vendors. Prior to his founding of Esnatech, Mohammad was an Industrial Engineer,
holding a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto.
ANTHONY BURT, CA/CFO
Tony joined Esna in 2000 with a wealth of experience working with the Internet, multi-media and industrial software
organizations. Core competencies include executive management, business strategy development, corporate finance, financial reporting and accounting, administration
and operations, and business advisory in high growth rate environments. Anthony is an honors graduate of University of Toronto, and attained the Chartered
Accountant designation while with Clarkson, Gordon & Co. (now Ernest & Young).
DAVIDE PETRAMALA,
Executive Vice President Business Development and Sales
Davide joined Esnatech in 1993 in a sales management role and now directs all
sales, marketing, professional services and business development for Esnatech on multiple continents. During Davide's tenure, revenue has grown over 200%,
the customer base has expanded to 30 countries around the world, and Esnatech has become a Global OEM supplier to several major PBX manufacturers such
as Iwatsu America, Mitel networks, and 3COM corporation. Prior to joining Esnatech, Davide received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University,
majoring in International business and Marketing.
MEHDI NEZARATI,
Executive Vice President Operations and President EMEA
Mehdi directs support and customer satisfaction as well as product management for Esnatech.
Mehdi has over 12 years of experience in the messaging and communications industry. Under his supervision, Esnatech's support and customer satisfaction
ranks as one of the highest in the industry. He joined Esna Technologies Inc. in 1992 and has helped the company grow from a start up to the global supplier
that it is today. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.
LEE HO, Vice President Marketing
Lee comes to Esnatech with over 16 years of leadership experience as a strategist and product pioneer in marketing, business development,
product management and change facilitation. Lee has an extensive background in the creation and implementation of long-term growth strategies for enterprise
solution providers. He was previously the CMO for Knouen Technologies and their spin-off company LookAcross. At Knouen and LookAcross, Lee defined go-to-market
plans, product direction and investment strategy. His professional experience includes executive management roles at software and technology companies
including Muze Inc., Panorama Software, CompanyDNA, Brightspark Labs and BackWeb Technologies. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Communication
from the University of Colorado.
ARNO ERMARKARYAN, Director of Engineering
Arno joined Esnatech in 2002 in a Quality Control management role. As Director of Engineering
he now directs the research and development and quality assurance departments for Esna. During his tenure, Arno has lead several projects to completion
for several OEMs. Prior to joining Esnatech, Arno had gained over 11 years of messaging experience at Nortel Networks where most recently he managed software
development of the Call Pilot unified messaging system. Arno received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science
and Art in New York City and a Master of Science Degree from Queen's University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Arno has also received an MBA from
York University.
NICHOLAS ST JOHN, Managing Director EMEA
Nick joined Esnatech during 2010 and is responsible for pushing out Esnatech software
to new vendors across EMEA. Nick has previously worked for large PLC's and over the last 10 years specialized in helping smaller entrepreneurial
business to expand their reach in new global territories. Nick's experience has been setting up channel partners in EMEA across software, wireless, technology
and telecom sectors, with specific experience in managing new business sales, pipeline and customer service teams. A cloud specialist who is able to invigorate,
stimulate and drive high-performance people/teams.
Board of Directors
Dr. Stuart Smith, Chairman
Dr. Stuart Lyon Smith is Chairman of Esna Technologies. Dr. Smith brings extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He is currently Chairman of Esnatech. and President of RockCliffe Research and Technology Inc. Dr. Smith is also a director of Capital Alliance Ventures Inc. and is the former leader of the Ontario Liberal Party. He also serves as Vice-Chair of Humber College's Board of Governors and is a member of the Advisory Committee of the McGill School of Environment and the Liu Centre for the study of Global Issues (University of British Columbia.) Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Medicine and Specialist Diploma from McGill University.
Mahmoud Nezarati, Founder
Mahmoud Nezarati is a founder of Esnatech. He is also the President of Abba Research and Management Consulting. His past positions include Vice Chairman of Melli Industrial Group, and the Chairman of the Wholesale and Retail Sales companies with that Group. He was also a previous Director of several banks and insurance companies, representing the Melli Industrial Group's investments; Vice President of World Central Export Corp in Toronto, Ontario; CEO of Ahoy Shoe Manufacturing Co. in Cambridge, Ontario; President of Abba Shoes in Thornhill, Ontario; President of Uniglobe Express (a franchise), Toronto, Ontario; Mr. Nezarati has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Teheran, Iran.
Janice P. Anderson
Janice Anderson is an experienced business leader, strategist, and entrepreneur with a strong track record in technology markets and global operations. She has successfully led businesses within multiple technology sectors include digital media, wireless, communications and enterprise software delivering earnings and revenue growth. Her most recent roles include executive leadership with Melodeo Inc., Muze Inc. and Onyx Software (ONXS). Prior to these positions, Janice led the high growth CRM business unit for Lucent Technologies after its spin-out from AT&T, and international operations for AT&T Corporation. She has also founded software businesses and led over 15 business combinations during her career. Janice is a member of the Technology Alliance, the Vice Chair of the Washington Technology Industry Association and an active member of the Young Presidents Organization. She has been a sought-after speaker regarding technology trends and their impact on businesses, as well as an authority on leadership and corporate governance. Ms. Anderson has a BA in Commerce from the University of Toronto; an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a Certified Management Accountant degree.
Ken Myer, President & CEO, Washington Technology Industry Association
Ken Myer is currently an Interim Executive In Residence at the UW Center For Commercialization. Formerly he was President & Chief Executive Officer of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), the largest state technology association in North America. Ken has over 20 years of successful experience in the technology industry leading companies ranging in size from start up to Fortune 100. As co-founder of Interval Systems, Myer helped position the company as one of the leading providers of software tools to industrial engineers for implementing lean manufacturing. As Executive Vice President of publicly traded Active Voice Corporation, Myer led the worldwide marketing, sales, technical services, and customer service teams as they launched a new product line into the Fortune 2500 market. The success of the launch helped pave the way for an eventual buyout by Cisco in 2001 for $300M. At IBM Corporation Myer held a variety of executive positions including General Manager of the Northwest and Intermountain Region, National Executive for the Computer Services Industries, and CFO IBM Northwest. Ken has led companies that have three times been recognized as among the best to work for. Myer holds an MBA and Masters of Speech Communication from the University of Washington and participates in national and regional commercial and non-profit boards including Esna Technologies, Cascade Land Conservancy, FIRST, and the University of Washington Information School. He was named one of the most influential business leaders by Seattle Business Magazine in 2009.
Ronald J. Dekker, VP New Enterprise Business, Cisco Canada
As Vice President, New Enterprise Business at Cisco Canada, Ron Dekker is responsible for leading his team’s sales and support activities, maintaining superior customer satisfaction levels, and growing Cisco’s enterprise business within its largest accounts. He and his team work to ensure customer access to Cisco’s most strategic and expert resources. An industry veteran with extensive global experience in telecommunications, Dekker has held a wide range of management and strategic planning roles. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Connex SEE Service, Inc., a national integrator of wired and wireless communications networks. Previously, he was Vice President of Alliances and Business Development for Tandberg Inc., where he identified and engaged new market opportunities and partnerships. Prior to that, Dekker founded and served as CEO and director of OneConnect, Canada’s first IP managed services provider. Preceding OneConnect, he was President and CEO of Ericsson Canada Wireless Internet and before that was president of Williams Communications Canada, a company that was eventually purchased by TELUS. Dekker serves as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and is also a charter member of the Academy of Technology CEOs (AceTech). For the past six years he has served on the board of directors for the Children’s Aid Foundation. More recently, Dekker has taken on the role of co-chair for Toronto Community Living’s signature Community Rocks event, a major fundraising concert.
