Job Summary
Based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, a Software Quality Assurance Engineer is required to join a 3-person software quality assurance team within a complex software development project. The project consists of the development of multimedia messaging and communications applications for the Unified Messaging/Unified Communications market space.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the testing of software, defining test strategy, writing testcases, writing bug reports, summarizing testing results and reviewing customer documentation. This position will require working closely with software designers, technical writers and technical support engineers, as well as with other members of the software quality assurance team.
Key Skills Required
The candidate MUST possess the following skills/experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience providing testing in a Windows® 2000 | XP | 2003
- Good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork
- Resourcefulness and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Ability to pay close attention to details
The candidate SHOULD possess the following skills/experience:
- Experience with telephony and multimedia messaging (voice, fax, text, speech recognition an asset
- Previous experience in a software development company
Education & Experience
- Completion of Engineering or Computer Science degree program
