Stuart Smith | Chairman

Dr. Stuart Lyon Smith is Chairman of Esna Technologies. Dr. Smith brings extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He is currently Chairman of Esna Technologies Inc. and President of RockCliffe Research and Technology Inc. Dr. Smith is also a director of Capital Alliance Ventures Inc. and is the former leader of the Ontario Liberal Party. He also serves as Vice-Chair of Humber College's Board of Governors and is a member of the Advisory Committee of the McGill School of Environment and the Liu Centre for the study of Global Issues (University of British Columbia.) Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Medicine and Specialist Diploma from McGill University.

Mahmoud Nezarati | Founder

Mahmoud Nezarati is a founder of Esna Technologies Inc. He is also the President of Abba Research and Management Consulting. His past positions include Vice Chairman of Melli Industrial Group, and the Chairman of the Wholesale and Retail Sales companies with that Group. He was also a previous Director of several banks and insurance companies, representing the Melli Industrial Group's investments; Vice President of World Central Export Corp in Toronto, Ontario; CEO of Ahoy Shoe Manufacturing Co. in Cambridge, Ontario; President of Abba Shoes in Thornhill, Ontario; President of Uniglobe Express (a franchise), Toronto, Ontario; Mr. Nezarati has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Teheran, Iran.

Janice P. Anderson

Janice has a proven track record of building organizations into global market leaders. She brings extensive marketing, business development and operations experience from almost 20 years in the information technology, telecommunications and enterprise software industries. Most recently, Janice was Chief Executive Officer of Panorama Software, a business intelligence software provider where she led the launch of the company into global markets and more than doubled the revenue from the previous year. Prior to that, she was CEO of CompanyDNA Inc., a Canadian-based application service provider which addressed the marketing services industry.

Janice spent many years in the telecommunications and IT industry with Lucent Technologies where her most recent role was leadership of the global Customer Relationship Management business unit. During her tenure, the CRM team of 2000 employees reached the number one position in North America, Europe, Brazil and Asia and achieved significant growth. Janice's previous roles have included merger/acquisitions, business development and product management with Lucent Technologies, AT&T Corporation, MDS Canada and AT&T Canada. Janice holds an MBA from York University, and is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Ken Myer

President and CEO, Washington Technology Industry Association

Mr. Myer is currently President & Chief Executive Officer of the Washington Technology Industry Association with over 20 years of successful experience in the technology industry leading companies ranging in size from start ups to Fortune 100.  As co-founder and CEO of Interval Systems, Mr. Myer positioned the company as one of the leading providers of software tools for industrial engineers to implement lean manufacturing. As Executive Vice President of publicly traded Active Voice Corporation, Mr. Myer led the worldwide marketing, sales, technical services, and customer service teams as they launched a new product line into the Fortune 2500 market. The success of the launch helped pave the way for an eventual buyout by Cisco in 2001 for $300M.

At IBM Corporation Mr. Myer held a variety of executive positions including General Manager of the Northwest and Intermountain Region, National Executive for the Computer Services Industries, and CFO IBM Northwest. Mr. Myer holds an MBA and Masters of Speech Communication from the University of Washington and is involved in the northwest education and technology non-profit communities. He is a current board member of the Technology Alliance, where he served as Board President.

Ronald J. Dekker

President & CEO, Cygnal Technologies

Ron is leading a newly capitalized and energized Cygnal Technologies ( www.cygnal.ca ), Canada's leading independent provider of wired and wireless communications networks. Ron previously served as VP Alliances & Business Develop for Tandberg, now the #1 global video communications company, where he identified and engaged new market opportunities that are delivering the Company's next generation of innovation and growth.  Prior to Tandberg, Ron founded and served as CEO and Director of OneConnect, Canada’s first and market-leading IP services provider.  Prior to OneConnect, Ron was President & CEO of Ericsson Wireless Internet and before that, President of Williams Communications Canada.  Ron has extensive global experience in telecommunications markets, specific skills in management and strategic planning, and a proven track record of delivering strong leadership and profitability.  Ron is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO International), a charter member of the Academy of Technology CEO’s (AceTech), a Director at Esna Technologies, and served for the past 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Aid Foundation.
